Above-ground pool deals involve products with lots of parts that can get very heavy. Save yourself a small fortune in shipping costs by searching for free or low shipping fees as you dive for backyard pool deals.Tip No. 3.

Sites such as PriceGrabber can help ensure that you're getting the best above-ground pool deals.It's a good idea to launch your search with online vendors who specialize in pools. For example, MyEasySetPools.com sells only Intex pools, which fill the top two spots on Cheapism's list of best cheap pools. At InTheSwim, there are backyard pool deals for several brands, with prices starting at about $350; shipping is free. InTheSwim earns a 4.5 star rating on Epinions, where most users report a satisfactory experience with the company (i.e., strong customer service and super- fast shipping) although some air gripes about rude customer service reps and a handling fee that can reach $10.99. PoolProducts.com is another pool-specific vendor that offers free shipping but charges a maximum handling fee of $10.95. This site currently is offering several discount backyard pool deals, including an Intex metal frame pool starting at $549.99. There aren't a ton of user reviews regarding PoolProducts.com, although one person gives it a positive review on ResellerRatings, saying her order was packaged well and arrived on time.
Other retailers worth scouting out for backyard pool deals include Walmart, Target, Sears, and Kmart. Target and Walmart don't have a ton of choices, but Target carries Intex pools (our best choice), starting at $349.99, and Walmart carries the Heritage brand (one of our good choices), starting at about $249 (some models come with free shipping to store. Sears sells both brands, with plenty of Intex and Heritage backyard pool deals to choose among. Prices on the Sears site range from $279 to $899. Kmart's selection of backyard pool deals is similar to Sears. Sam's Club also has a variety of backyard pool deals, with shipping included in all prices listed on the site. Seaview Club pools, another of our good choices, are available at Sam's Club; we saw one round metal frame 18' x 42" model priced at $659. Lowe's and Toys R Us also have a small selection of backyard pool deals that are worth a look.
Exclusive online vendors with hot backyard pool deals include Amazon, Wayfair, and Newegg. Wayfair has many options starting at about $305 and almost all come with free shipping, while Newegg has several competitively priced backyard pool deals with free shipping; a 15' by 42" round metal frame pool by Intex is priced at $373.65. Not to be outdone, Amazon showcases more than 300 backyard pool deals and many qualify for free shipping.
