Virgin Mobile Launches No-Contract Android Phone

The mobile phone wars keep getting more interesting. Virgin Mobile just introduced a no-contract prepaid plan and Android smartphone, a move PC Magazine suggests is aimed at Cricket, which did the same a while ago. Read all about it here.

"Sprint's prepaid arm, Virgin Mobile, on Monday announced it would be selling the Samsung Intercept Android-powered smartphone for $249.99 with no contract, on low-cost service plans that range from $25-$60 per month.

Virgin's launch of the intercept is a clear counter to Cricket's recent launch of the Sanyo Zio, which was the first Android phone to be available on low-cost prepaid unlimited plans in the U.S...."
