Volkswagen unveils world's most economical car

The world's most economical car just made it's debut, reports International Business Times. But don't hold your breath until you can drive it -- the news site says you'll have to wait until 2013 to get behind the wheel of this Volkswagen.

"German automaker Volkswagen unveiled XL1 Super Efficient Vehicle, also the world's most economical car that can travel 313 miles on a gallon of diesel.

The new two-seater car, which is powered by an 800cc TDI two-cylinder diesel engine linked to an electric motor, emits just 38 grams of carbon dioxide per mile traveled..."
