Here's a million-dollar question: "Can you use coupons on a date?" A story on NYPost.com says not only that you can, but that you may up your date's opinion of you if you do.

The practice of stealing deals for dinner and a movie from sites like Groupon is on the rise, the article says, and few men or women find it tacky. Nearly 75 percent of 16,000 consumers asked "Can you use coupons on a date?" on the coupon site RedPlum.com said they'd see no problem plucking down a discount when the check came. The approach makes sense, especially in an expensive city like New York in an economic climate still struggling to revive itself. What's more, smart singles are snagging some of the more spontaneous activities offered on group buying sites, like half off a paintball adventure, to woo the new man or woman in their lives.

Those worried they might underwhelm a date by using a coupon can try giving it to the waiter or waitress out of sight of their partner, the article suggests. What do you think: Can you use coupons on a date?
