Erica Domesek describes on Mashable how you can craft your own cheap iPad case, which retails for about $39, with kitchen drawer liner, Velcro strips, colored tape, and scissors. It's a nifty idea when you consider how much extra accessories for already-pricey technology items can cost. Domesek's result is a little tacky, sort of like a cheap school folder, but the point is function.

In addition to a cheap iPad case, you can find scores of DIY options for the iPod and iPhone at ZedoMax. One iPod holder is made of used juice boxes while another is fashioned from a denim jean waistband. Creative stuff.

"Everyone needs to tote around a few devices these days, but when it comes to electronics cases, there aren't too many fashionable and inexpensive options to choose from.

With DIY infused in my DNA, I am programmed to create things that make my life more beautiful and fun. Inspired by all of the bold striped patterns and color blocking styles seen on the runway this season, I thought it fitting to make my own iPad clutch out of common materials.
