The cheapest Kindle is now cheaper with Amazon's $114 sale price, says GottaBeMobile. There are other perks to the sale, too: $20 gift cards for just $10 and $1 album downloads.

However, there may be just one catch. The reason the cheapest Kindle is now cheaper is because of sponsors who hope to generate revenue through screensavers and ads on the Kindle itself. In fact, the marketing scheme is being praised by some as fairly original, as its an ad-driven subsidy. The GottaBeMobile writer says the success of such a tactic may result in even cheaper Kindles.

If all the discount enticements aren't enough to make you want to deal with the ads that will cloud your screen, maybe the attractive price will: you can get the Kindle Wi-Fi for $139.

Will you be buying this cheaper Kindle from Amazon?
