discount coupon sites
We Review Keycode, MyCoupons and CouponChief
Keycode.com:This site earns top accolades from Top 10 Reviews. The site has a neat layout and appears uncluttered. It has top nav bars and featured merchants and deal categories listed on the left sidebar. There's also a search function.
One element of Keycode's design that differs from other discount coupon sites is that the offers about to expire are at the very bottom of the homepage. The site starts off with featured printable offers followed by online offers, then hot deals and new offers. The positioning of the expiring deals at the bottom means first-time site visitors are more likely to miss out on them because they click on other deals higher up on the page.
This site didn't attract many other reviews besides Top 10, which praised the site for having good search tools, legitimate discounts, and a variety of categories. The only down side to the site the review listed was not being able to search for local deals. Top 10 Reviews recommends using this site for promo codes, online shopping, and shipping discounts.
Mycoupons.com: MyCoupons claims to be the very first coupon site in America, having launched in 1995. There is a list of deals squeezed together for everything from department stores to pet supply chains. This site strains the eyes a bit with its busy layout and proliferation of deals. The top nav bar is a bit cluttered, too, with an alphabetical search in addition to two rows of tabs.
This site won a silver award from Top 10 Reviews, which likes its customer service options and the amount of discount offers. It recommends users turn to it for online shopping and shipping deals. It also praises its like and dislike options (you also can leave comments for the site's operators), but admonishes MyCoupons for having a useless localized, printable deal search. This site has joined the ranks of other discount coupon sites by getting an iPhone and Android app. A bonus and unique element to MyCoupons is the discounted gift cards section.
ePinions users overall give MyCoupons four stars, lauding its range of coupons, but griping about its limited selection of coupon codes.
Couponchief.com: A Google search for reviews of this coupon site finds many mentions in personal and mommy blogs. We think we may know why; a pay-to-share program. This aspect works by letting users sign up and submit coupons to get 2 percent off the sale when someone users them. There is a $25 monthly store limit. The site also offers coupon codes, printable coupons, and direct links to discounts and lets users grade coupons. Overall, there are more than 50,000 coupons for 1,500 stores. The site's layout is organized and every area is separated by its own box. You can view a list of coupon codes and stores or browse by popular tags. There's also a list of the top users who contribute coupons.
Top 10 Reviews actually does not recommend this site at all, saying it's hard to navigate, something you wouldn't guess from its neat design. The review also says the site is missing some key product categories, though it doesn't name them. A review on The Smarter Wallet says the deals are easy to find, however. The review also says CouponChief has more updated coupons than some of the other major discount coupon sites. Reviews at BeingPC and Npxp.com like that you don't have to sign up on the site to view the coupons. So despite the panning from Top 10 Reviews, this looks to be a site worth checking out.
