We Review CouponSurfer, CouponMountain and CouponCraze
CouponSurfer: What strikes us most about this online coupon service is that its home page doesn't have any coupons. Unlike some of the other sites we've reviewed that let you jump right into the deal-finding, this site simply lists some of the brands and merchants it offers coupons for, like Kraft, Windex and Comcast.
But if you think there's hidden treasure behind the sparse homepage, you're sadly mistaken. In fact, Top 10 Reviews doesn't recommend this site because its coupon offerings are so limited. It only has a few hundred deals compared to the thousands offered by other sites. Other reviews for this site were scarce.
Otherwise, the site is pretty standard compared to other coupon warehouses. You can get printable coupons for local stores, links to deals, and coupon codes for in-store and online retailers. You can comment on and discuss deals with others.
CouponMountain: This online coupon service has a slightly busy, but navigable, site filled with coupon codes and most popular deals and stores. It's quite the connected site, with a presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Google Buzz. It claims to save people 20 to 30 percent off their purchases and also has one of the largest collections of coupons on the web, with about 4,000 deals at a given time. You can subscribe to stores to get specific discounts for what you already know you like.
However, this site has some lukewarm reviews from users. SiteJabber's overall 2-star rating is chalked up to too many nav bars. Top 10 Reviews doesn't recommend CouponMountain because of its shoddy setup, saying the vast amount of deals are negated by being hard to get to. It also doesn't have a very thorough "Help" section, which makes sorting through the site even more difficult. Top 10 likes the online coupon service for technology deals and the fact that its discounts seem legitimate.
CouponCraze: Our third site also does not come highly recommended by review sites. It looks a bit different from other coupon sites with its faded blue background and green, orange and white theme. It has a list of latest offers by places like GoDaddy and Luxury Link.
Reviews for this site were also scarce, except for trusty Top 10 Reviews, which does not recommend CouponCraze. It likes that it has a pile of local coupons, but says the site is hard to use, thanks in part to more that 80 sidebars links that are further confused by subcategories. It also pointed out some bad links and fake coupons. Tsk, tsk.
