ShackNews reported a few weeks back that the DS Lite is being discontinued. The small gaming system will no longer be made or sold in stores after current stocks run out. Given that this is the cheapest of the four DS models, now's the right time to buy one if you're currently without any members of this collection. This portable system has built-in WiFi and has been favorably reviewed by owners and tech sites. It currently retails for $129.99 and can be found in stores like GameStop.

Sony NEX-3

Also among products being discontinued is Sony's NEX-3 DSLR camera, on its way out after less than a year in favor or the newer C3 camera. The company has confirmed that production has ceased, and with a markdown to $499.99 from $549.99 for cameras with a 16-mm lense on Sony's web site, the NEX-3 is well within the Cheapism range for a DSLR device. It's smaller than the typical camera of this type and lets the user shoot from various angles. It features 14 mega-pixels with a shutter speed of 1/30th to 1/4000th of a second. Mattresses

Naturally, this isn't among the products being discontinued, but several online budget-shopping articles, like this one from the Columbus Dispatch, highly recommend buying a new mattress now. May is the time retailers bring in new stock and need to get rid of the old. The Cheapism price range for a mattress is $350 to $700.
