Here's another money-shaving idea for you media freaks -- bid your cable service goodbye and plug in your PC to your TV. CNBC suggests several cheap PCs that can light up that big screen with movies, videos, games, TV shows.

"There's an explosion of video on the Internet, from TV shows to feature films. But how do you get those to your glorious new high-definition TV set?

Many new TVs come with the ability to access Internet video, and there are Internet adapters that you can attach to other TVs as well. But none of these solutions offer the breadth of content and the flexibility you get by attaching a PC to the TV. If you're not a big sports fan, you may even find that connecting a computer to the TV can replace a premium cable subscription..."
