"For people trying to figure out where to get a deal near their home, the sudden outpouring of options is a bit overwhelming. Web sites publishing local deals are popping up everywhere, from Groupon and its imitators to Twitter and Foursquare to super-local neighborhood sites. That's on top of offers that appear in the mail and newspaper ads.A new site aims to fix that problem by aggregating all the nearby deals in one place. It is called the Dealmap, and is an offshoot of Center'd, the local search engine start-up that is backed by $8.8 million in venture capital from Norwest Venture Partners and other investors..."
