January and February are opportune months for winter sports, as snowfall accumulates on the slopes. Whether in California's Olympic Valley or Colorado's ski towns, cheap homestays can be found for nightly rates less than $100 a person. These homes were available at the listed rates in early January for stays in January and February, but prices do fluctuate. Book quickly before they fill up during peak ski season.
