25 Stores That Won't Be Open on Thanksgiving Day

THEY'RE GIVING THANKSGIVING

"Black Friday" deals are no longer confined to Black Friday. While families feast and enjoy time together this Thanksgiving, many of America's largest retail brands will open their doors to lure shoppers with early sales. According to a National Retail Federation survey, more than a third of consumers shopped on Thanksgiving in 2015 (many online). In a few states, though, so-called blue laws prohibit stores from opening on holidays. And some companies push back against the pressure to start the retail season early, likely seeing an opportunity to burnish a family-friendly image or responding to public unhappiness over holiday hours. Here are 25 stores that close on Thanksgiving so workers can stay home and enjoy the holiday.
