This budget Blu-ray player garners lots of positive reviews for its picture quality, easy firmware updates, and ease of setup and use. It may not have all the bells and whistles of other players, such as Netflix streaming, but we found fewer complaints about this model than many others. A 2.0 profile player, it supports Panasonic's Viera Cast feature, which lets you connect to the Web to access YouTube videos and view online photos via Picasa.

The player has an Ethernet port for firmware updates and to access BD-Live content, and even includes an SD memory card slot. The player also has a component output and optical digital audio output in addition to its HDMI port.
About the only knocks on this Panasonic Blu-ray player are its lack of support for Netflix streaming and when compared to other models, Panasonic DMP-BD60K reviews say it can be a tad slow to play video on startup. However, its excellent video quality and respectable array of features make up for this shortcoming.
