Panda Antivirus Pro 2012 reviews are scarce, as it's just now hitting the Internet byways. PC Magazine recently posted a Panda Antivirus Pro 2012 review that reports Panda performed fairly well in lab tests. It detected most threats thrown its way but unfortunately didn't put on such a good show when it came time to wipe out the attackers. The Panda Antivirus Pro 2012 review notes that the virus protection software left behind some malware, including rootkits, which had supposedly been removed; moreover, the firewall was porous.
Panda Antivirus Pro 2012 offers many features, including the above-mentioned firewall, along with antiphishing technology, rootkit protection, and a "USB Vaccine" feature that should prevent USB flash drives from spreading viruses from one PC to another -- a neat little trick. This new antivirus software also provides email and chat protection.
We like the features built into this program -- quite a nice list of extras for a reasonable price. But we need to see more reviews before we would consider adding it to our list of top picks. At this point, the 2012 version of Panda Antivirus Pro seems to offer decent, but not outstanding, protection.
