HP p6710f Review
In most respects the HP p6710f is an average PC, but this system does sport an ATI Radeon 4200 integrated graphics chip, which is better than what you'll find in most budget desktops. It also has a beefy 1TB hard drive for those who never seem to have enough storage room.
The HP p6710f is a journeyman desktop -- it'll manage common PC tasks well enough but won't excel at 3D graphics. Most users posting HP p6710f reviews on Staples give this entry-level desktop a high rating, citing its ease-of-use, speed, and massive storage space. This PC can connect to a wireless network out of the box, and one user raves about how easy it was to connect up. It also has the gumption to power at least two monitors, notes an HP p6710f review on Amazon, although another user asserts it lacks sufficient oomph for a video card. And a few consumers gripe about bloatware.
The HP p6710f runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, powered by an AMD Athlon II CPU. This is a pretty good CPU for a budget system -- not as high-powered as the Phenom series of CPUs from AMD, but one that still offers better-than-average performance for a desktop in this price range. The HP p6710f is a solid system for the price. It has some nice specs, such as the huge hard drive and built-in wireless connectivity, which saves you the hassle of buying and installing extra parts just to connect to your wireless home network. But beyond that, the HP p6710f doesn't really have any stand-out features -- at the least, we'd like to see more USB ports. This is a foundational system ripe for upgrading, if you're so inclined. If not, reserve it for those mundane tasks.
