Summary:

The FE-5020 from Olympus is well-liked by consumers, but an expert at TrustedReviews has mixed feelings about it in an Olympus FE-5020 review, noting that it doesn't have a lot of features and its photos tend to be overexposed. Most users posting reviews on Amazon rave about this camera, mostly with respect to its simple operation. Several users also appreciate the FE-5020's image quality, according to reviews, which cite sharp photos and accurate colors. A user posting an review on eBay agrees, also touting the 5x zoom and small size, but notes a significant lag when shooting photos.

The Olympus FE-5020's 12-megapixel resolution is pretty common among budget digital cameras, but this model's 5x optical zoom is better than most. It has a 2.7-inch LCD. Because this is an Olympus camera, it uses xD-Picture memory cards but can also save photos to microSD/microSDHC cards.

There's some question as to the quality of photos taken with this camera. Users seem to love it, but an expert reviewer was underwhelmed. We do like the 5x optical zoom and slick design. At the least, it's worth going to your local store to check out this camera firsthand.
