Like other manufacturers, GE gives its dishwashers different model numbers -- and different prices -- for different colors. This model is white but also comes in black (GSD4000RBB) and more expensive stainless steel (GSD4060RSS). Although some people who posted GE GSD4000RWW reviews at Home Depot are happy with the dishwasher, many say it is a good choice only if your household is very small -- one or two people. It also gets mixed reviews for its cleaning ability. While many consumers find the noise level reasonable, a user who posted a GE GSD4000RWW review on the Abt website can't believe this dishwasher is marketed as quiet. The few consumers who have posted reviews of GE GSD4000 dishwashers on Epinions are uniformly unimpressed with it. It does not clean without pre-washing, they say, and failures of one part or another seem to be the order of the day. The GE GSD4000RWW is an affordable machine with lots of features, but with the mixed reviews and reports of malfunctions, we'll take a pass.
