GE GSD4000RWW
Where to Buy GE GSD4000RWW
Summary:

Like other manufacturers, GE gives its dishwashers different model numbers -- and different prices -- for different colors. This model is white but also comes in black (GSD4000RBB) and more expensive stainless steel (GSD4060RSS). Although some people who posted GE GSD4000RWW reviews at Home Depot are happy with the dishwasher, many say it is a good choice only if your household is very small -- one or two people. It also gets mixed reviews for its cleaning ability. While many consumers find the noise level reasonable, a user who posted a review on the Abt website can't believe this dishwasher is marketed as quiet. At 61 decibels, it's slightly louder than a normal conversation. One consumer who posted a review at Home Depot suggests keeping the insulation blanket from your old dishwasher and using it in place of the one that comes with this cheap dishwasher.

Unlike some of the other dishwashers on our list, the GE GSD4000RWW (starting at $359) does not have a tall tub, which means less height in the lower rack. A tower in the middle of the rack also limits the space. This dishwasher lacks flexibility, with no folding tines and a stationary silverware caddy. It offers 10 cycles and options, including pots and pans, china and crystal, heavy wash, and rinse only. It also features a heated dry option, a high-temperature wash, and a two-, four- or eight-hour delay.

The few consumers who have posted GE GSD4000 dishwasher reviews on Epinions are uniformly unimpressed with it. It does not clean without pre-washing, they say, and failures of one part or another seem to be the order of the day. The GE GSD4000RWW is an affordable machine with lots of features, but with the mixed reviews and reports of malfunctions, we'll take a pass.
