GE GTDX100EMWW Review
This electric dryer comes with 6 cubic feet of space, three drying cycles, a reversible door, and a lint trap in the front. Decent drying performance and an interior light win users over. Also available is a gas-powered version, the GE GTDX100GMWW.
The GE GTDX100EMWW is a pared-down dryer that meets, but doesn't exceed, user expectations. Drying performance is satisfactory, GE GTDX100EMWW reviews note, and most reviewers find that the auto-dry cycle does the trick. A user who posted a GE GTDX100EMWW review at Home Depot mentions damp clothes but blames a tendency to overload the 6-cubic-foot machine, the smallest on our list. The dryer is big enough to fit a comforter, though, says a user who posted a GE GTDX100EMWW review at Best Buy.
The electric GE GTDX100EMWW is also available in a gas-powered version, the GE GTDX100GMWW. Attributes of both models that users appreciate include the interior light and relatively quiet operation. On the down side, one GE GTDX100EMWW review we found at Home Depot suggests that the light can be fickle. A couple of other consumers lament that there is no low temperature setting -- only high, medium, and a no-heat, air-dry cycle. They warn that the medium setting may be too hot for some fabrics.
Unfortunately experts don't give this unit the time of day, and user reviews are limited, a common problem at this price point. Existing user reviews are generally positive, however. Despite a few other complaints posted at Home Depot about a flimsy lint trap and underpowered venting, GE GTDX100EMWW reviews indicate a perception of this dryer as a good value.
