Home users who already have a Blu-ray or DVD player should look no further than Onkyo's cheap HT-S3200 to round out their home theater. Experts and users lavish praise on the HT-S3200 for its excellent music and movie sound quality. The receiver includes three HDMI ports for high-definition devices as well as an AM/FM radio. May be hard to find, but worth your time looking.
Onkyo's HT-S3200 is a great cheap home theater for those who already have a Blu-ray or DVD player, but are still looking for great audio at an affordable price. Across the board, experts and reviewers simply love the HT-S3200's audio capabilities. Many Amazon.com users praise the HT-S3200's great sound. Cnet declares that this cheap HTiB's audio sounds "glorious," and is much better than that of most cheap home theaters. One Newegg.com customer simply states that listening to this HTiB is simply "a joy".
The HT-S3200 doesn't include a Blu-ray or DVD player. Instead, the system has five satellite speakers, a subwoofer, and an A/V receiver. The receiver has three HDMI inputs, so you can connect several high definition to the devices. The HT-3200 supports several audio formats including Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic IIx, and DTS. It also has an AM/FM radio that can store up to 30 presets.
If you're looking for a cheap, audio-centric HTiB to compliment your TV and Blu-ray player, the HT-S3200 is the way to go. We do have a couple of caveats: This system doesn't send audio signals through its HDMI connections, so you'll have to connect your HDMI devices' audio to a separate set of inputs on the receiver. Also, this unit doesn't support the Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audio. However, if your Blu-ray player supports those formats (and most new ones do), this won't be a problem.
