Yard Machines 38 in. Riding Lawn Mower Review
This Yard Machines riding mower comes at an economical price and for the most part delivers a performance to match. Yard Machines 38" 13.5 hp Riding Lawn Tractor reviews are largely positive. Commenting in reviews on the Sears site users say this model is the right size for yards of an acre or so -- and bumpy ones, at that. They point to a cutting deck that sits high enough off the ground, smooth steering, a sturdy Briggs & Stratton engine, and large wheels. They like its simple turn-key start and smooth ride, and value its second life, with the appropriate attachments, as a hauler and snowplow. Some Yard Machines 38" 13.5 hp Riding Lawn Tractor reviews, however, grouse about several design issues. Things like a gas tank that doesn't seem well-secured, front wheels that tilt inward, and the inability to mow in reverse irk a number of users.
The specs on this Yard Machines model are decent. They start with a 13.5 horsepower engine, 1.5-gallon fuel tank, and six-speed manual transmission that gets you up to 5 mph going forward and 2.8 mph in reverse. The cutting deck measures 38 inches, with two blades, and five cutting heights between 1.5 and 4 inches; the turning radius is 18 inches. The rear tires stand 20 inches tall and the front tires measure 15 inches. The seat is adjustable but has a low back. It comes with a two-year limited warranty.
This is a reasonably priced mower, primarily available through Sears. It's not one of our favorites but satisfied consumers convince us it's at least worthy of consideration.
