The Web is awash with TextbooksRUs.com reviews that assert buyers never received their orders but were charged anyway. A variety of other unsettling practices also emerge in consumers' TextbooksRUs.com reviews. On ResellerRatings.com, TextbooksRUs.com reviews claim the site failed to pay for books students sold to the site, sent annotated or international copies that weren't requested (these can be hard to resell), and sent incorrect editions with ISBN stickers for the correct edition; users also complain about useless or inaccessible customer support. A few TextbooksRUs.com reviews on Trustpilot.com are split: half praise the site and half repeat the usual gripes. TopTenReviews.com says in its TextbooksRUs.com review that the site is easy to navigate, shipping is cheap, and there's no restocking fee if you return the item within 14 days. This TextbooksRUs.com review also likes the large assortment of new and used books and DVDs, some of which are available through third-party sellers. But given the less than enthusiastic user reviews, you might want to take the advice of one customer and turn to this cheap college textbook website as a last resort.

A cluttered website may be the least of the problems with PhatCampus.com. According to PhatCampus.com reviews, good business practices seem to be in short supply. On RipOffReport.com, PhatCampus.com reviews complain about a lack of response on orders. One customer writes in a PhatCampus.com review on ComplaintsBoard.com about being double-charged for one book, but requests for a refund went nowhere, and other dissatisfied users write about books taking more than a month to arrive. PhatCampus.com reviews are scant, but what we did find was very discouraging. Moreover, PhatCampus.com only accepts credit cards (most other sites take PayPal) and it has discontinued its buy-back program. This is one cheap college textbooks website that's not worth the hassle.

CampusBooks.com is a bit different from your average textbook seller/rental site. Its primary purpose is to search across the spectrum of book-selling and book-renting sites to find the cheapest prices (think Shopping.com for textbooks). After typing in the book you're looking for, the site displays any number of sales and rental sites, with prices neatly displayed; from here you click onto those sites. CampusBooks.com boasts that it saves users up to 95% off list prices for college textbooks. It also donates unwanted books to students in Asia, Africa, and "high-risk" communities in the U.S., sells excess inventory to raise funds for other book charities, and recycles what remains. Bottom line: CampusBooks.com points you in the direction of the cheapest textbook sales and rentals. If nothing else, it saves you time and money by doing the comparison shopping for you.
