...+Exercise Bike Deals
Exercise bike deals are available year round, but some seasons offer better deals than others. The best time to look is spring, when retailers are anxious to replace stationary bikes with road bikes. January is also a good month to look for exercise bike deals. Exercise equipment retailers compete with gyms for your money, as you and everyone else focuses on fulfilling that New Year's resolution to lose weight, so exercise bikes are likely to be marked down.
If you decide to bring your fitness routine inside, start by checking out online fitness retailers such as HorizonFitnessOutlet and AmericanFitness, where we saw numerous exercise bike deals for less than $400. Sports Authority is also a good place to look, where some exercise bikes cost well above the Cheapism price niche but several are marked below it, too -- one BodyFit Upright Bike is just $139.99. ExerciseBikes.com is the most indoor-cycling specific site we found, with a special "On Sale" section that's worth browsing.
It also won't hurt to regularly check non-fitness-specific sites. Amazon, for example, features a host of exercise bike deals listed under the "Sports & Outdoors" department. You can search the deals by features, brand, consumer rating, and price. We searched Overstock.com using the term "Exercise Bikes" and found many exercise bike deals to choose from that can be sorted by brand or price. Both Sears and SearsOutlet boast exercise bike deals that can be searched by price, and you can view user ratings on any that tickle your fancy; to find the best deals on these sites, we used the search term "Exercise Bikes". Exercise bikes and exercise cycles are found respectively at Walmart and Kmart in their own category under "Sports & Fitness". At Walmart we even saw a Marcy Recumbent exercise bike (one of our best choices) for just $215 with free shipping to store. Target and Best Buy both required us to search using the term "Exercise Bikes". Target lets users search results by price range and Best Buy sorts by price range and brand.
Deal sites can be very useful in uncovering exercise bike deals you may otherwise miss. Here are some links we found for various deal sites: FatWallet, DealCatcher, and CheapUncle. At CheapUncle, you'll be prompted to enter your zip code so that shipping and sales tax can be calculated. Shopping comparison sites such as DealNews, Shopping.com and PriceGrabber are useful search tools, and the latter happens to feature our "good" choice, the ProForm 290 SPX, at three stores starting at $299.
Finally, no search for exercise bike deals would be complete without seeking out additional coupons for the deals you're already finding. Sites such as MyCoupons, CouponCraze, and Deals.com feature money-saving coupons when the search term "Exercise Bikes" is used. Coupons that we saw offered free shipping, or savings of 30 percent or $200 off.
