Douglas Backstrom has been an editor and copy editor for more than two decades at newspapers and magazines in various cities, primarily Boston, Chicago, and Miami. Other than writing and editing about health and fitness, he has a passion for bodybuilding and has competed in local and national shows. Douglas has a BA in journalism and an MBA in management. He is married and lives in Elgin, Ill.
