Something yellow, square, and grill-scented is landing coming for your lunch plans this week. Burger King is continuing its Bikini Bottom celebration by offering Royal Perks members a buy-one-get-one-free SpongeBob’s Krabby Whopper on Dec. 19.

The BOGO deal lines up with the theatrical release of “The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants,” which premieres that same day.

“To celebrate, for one day only on 12/19, Royal Perks members can enjoy a BOGO SpongeBob’s Krabby Whopper all day long – one for you and one for the Patrick to your SpongeBob,” the company said in a statement.

Who Can Claim the BOGO Deal?

The deal is available only to Royal Perks members who can redeem the offer through the Burger King app and at participating U.S. locations on Friday. You won’t need a promo code, as the discount is applied automatically at checkout when you add two Krabby Whoppers to your order.

What’s in the Krabby Whopper?

The Krabby Whopper is part of the limited-time SpongeBob Movie Menu, which launched nationwide on Dec. 1. The burger is built on a yellow square bun to mimic SpongeBob himself. It features a flame-grilled quarter-pound beef patty, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, ketchup, and mayo.

The themed menu is available for a limited time and includes several tie-in items inspired by the characters:

  • Krabby Whopper: The main event. A square-bunned quarter-pounder with classic toppings.
  • Mr. Krabs’ Cheesy Bacon Tots: Mini coin-shaped potato bites stuffed with cheese and bacon, served in a treasure chest-themed box.
  • Patrick’s Star-berry Shortcake Pie: A layered strawberry and vanilla dessert topped with pink star sprinkles.
  • Pirate’s Frozen Pineapple Float: Pineapple slush topped with cold foam.
  • Bikini Bottom Bundle: A combo box that includes all four menu items, served in a pineapple-shaped container.
  • King Jr. Meal: A kid’s meal version of the promo, complete with one of six collectible SpongeBob toys and a themed crown.

The entire lineup is available while supplies last, though no end date has been announced.

What Are People Saying About It?

While Burger King says the SpongeBob menu has been “flying off the shelves” since its Dec. 1 launch, not everyone’s thrilled with the cost. On Reddit, users praised the promotion as a step up from Wendy’s — but took issue with the price.

“Too bad it’s crazy expensive.” said one Redditor. “The Krabby Whopper alone is $8 in my area.”

Another ranted “$20 for a fast food box.” Touché.
