Cicis is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a deal that will bring you — or at least your wallet — back to 1985. The “all you can eat” buffet chain just launched its new Cicis Rewards program and is offering an adult buffet for $2.99 through Nov. 30 to mark the occasion. Yup, that’s the same price customers paid for the buffet when Cicis first opened.

“This is one of the biggest moments in Cicis history,” Jeff Hetsel, the chain’s president, said in a statement. “For the first time ever, guests can earn points and redeem rewards just for enjoying the food they already love. … Bringing back the original $2.99 buffet is a thank-you to our guests and a promise that real value will always be at the heart of Cicis.”

How Can You Score This Deal?

Anyone who signs up for Cicis Rewards online or in the app gets two coupons for a $2.99 dine-in buffet. After signing up, the $2.99 buffet coupons show up in the member account and can be used for dine-in meals through the end of the month.

Members earn 10 points for every dollar spent, which can go toward future orders. They can also check their points and rewards in the Cicis app, which sends updates about new menu items, limited-time deals, and birthday offers. More rewards and app features are expected to roll out in the months ahead.

The deal works at all 269 Cicis locations nationwide. Buffets usually cost about $9.99 for adults and $5.99 for kids, so it’s a rare chance to eat cheap.

The loyalty program was developed by Whitney Cartmill, Cicis’ director of customer experience, using guest data and feedback to shape how the system works.

“We created Cicis Rewards to build stronger connections with our guests and engage with them in a more meaningful way,” Cartmill said in a statement. “Our guests want value, convenience, and a reason to come back — and this program delivers on all three. Launching it with a $2.99 buffet is the perfect way to celebrate.”
