Claire’s, the tween mall staple best known for ear piercings and cheap sparkle, has filed for bankruptcy again — and this time more than 290 stores are on the chopping block.

Here is everything you need to know.

How Many Stores Are Affected by the Bankruptcy?

In an August 25 court filing, Claire’s Holdings LLC confirmed that 235 Claire’s stores and 56 Icing locations will close. The disclosure followed the sale of the company’s North American business to private equity firm Ames Watson for $104 million.

The move comes after the company, which filed for bankruptcy earlier this month, warned it might need to close more than 1,100 stores if it didn’t find a buyer.

Where Are the Store Closures?

The company has not provided specific dates, but the closures are expected on a rolling basis. California will lose the most stores at 25, followed by New York with 18, and Illinois and Pennsylvania with 16 each. According to USA TODAY, here is a state-by-state list of the 291 Claire’s and Icing locations scheduled to close
