Many fast food restaurants have menu items that inspire a cult following, but fans of Taco Bell take that obsession to a whole new level. Over the years, numerous discontinued Taco Bell fan favorites have led to a loud outcry from customers.

Some of their griping will turn to cheers (at least temporarily) with the company’s latest ploy, the Taco Bell Decades Y2K menu. It’s bringing back discontinued Taco Bell cult classic items from the 2000s, and they’re all pretty cheap, too. Here’s what’s on the menu, and when you can get them.

Prices and availability may vary by location.

Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco

Price: $2.49 (May vary by location)

We all know Cool Ranch Doritos are far superior to Nacho Cheese, so Taco Bell’s decision to axe the former was a head scratcher. But now you can get saucy seasoned beef and token toppings in a Cool Ranch-flavored hard shell once again.

Double Decker Taco

Taco Bell went all the way back to 1995 (and 2006, and a few times since then) to resurrect the Double Decker Taco. It’s a regular crunchy taco that’s wrapped in a flour tortilla, with a layer of refried beans holding it on. It’s far superior to the Double Stacked Taco, with its tasteless nacho cheese glue.

7-Layer Burrito

Disappearing from the menu in 2020, the 7-Layer Burrito is an icon of vegetarian fast food menu items. It’s inspired by the popular Tex-Mex party dip of the same name, so you know it must be good. This handheld version’s layers are made of rice, refried beans, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, tomatoes, and lettuce.

Taco Bell’s Chili Cheese Burrito is one of its most beloved menu items. It’s actually still part of the regular menu in some locations — there’s even a handy map tracker in case you want to make a pilgrimage. But for a while, you’ll be able to get it across the country, in all its simple chili and cheese glory.

Just in time for fall, TB’s bringing back the Caramel Apple Empanada. It’s by far the best dessert option at the chain, and it puts McDonald’s apple pie to shame. It’s got apple pieces in a caramel-flavored filling, and it’s actually deep fried, the way all fast food pies should still be cooked.

When Is the Taco Bell Decades Y2K Menu Available?

The full Decades Y2K menu at Taco Bell will be available starting on September 9, 2025. We don’t know exactly how long it will last, though. If we had to guess, we’d say about a month, so plan on getting to your local Taco Bell before mid-October if you want to taste any of these throwback menu items once again.
