Expensive Foods from Costco
Cheapism / Costco

Costco is known for luring its customers in with the promise of great deals on bulk products. From colossal bags of chips sold for the same price as a standard bag at the grocery store to $5 rotisserie chickens, there are plenty of low-priced items to take advantage of at Costco. But for folks with more expensive taste and deeper pockets than the average Costco consumer, the store also has a selection of food products that are on the high-end of luxury and cost all at once. Here are the most expensive items we could find.

Prices and availability are subject to change.

1. Plaza Golden Osetra Caviar Kilo Pack

Costco

Price: $2,000

Our favorite part about the description of this caviar is that it justifies its obscene price tag by lamenting that it serves 40 or more guests and is “event-sized.” Thank. Goodness. We are not comfortable shelling out 2K for our own caviar craving but for the sake of entertaining, $50 per person for a little snacky snack sounds totally reasonable. (In case your sarcasm detector is broken, we’re kidding. This is still a “Nope, too expensive” on our end.)

Coming in at the most expensive is the 12-pound boneless ribeye roast, but there are tons of other wagyu cuts that are also some of Costco’s priciest but for the sake of some variety on this list, we’re just focusing on the tip of the beefy iceberg, which is imported From the Kagoshima Prefecture in Japan and sold online only, so it comes frozen to your doorstep.
