Winter is wintering, the affordability crisis is making everyone anxious, and Burger King has decided this is the moment to hand out free breakfast sandwiches to lift everyone’s spirit.
There is catch, though, because of course there is.
Here’s what you need to know.
What’s the Deal?
On January 30 — National Croissant Day — Burger King will offer Royal Perks members a free Croissan’wich with a $3 purchase. Which is generous, but does slightly complicate the idea of “free.” But hey, words, shmords.
In reality, this is a BOGO deal limited to app and online orders placed through the Burger King app or bk.com, and it’s only valid for Reward members.
When and Where Is the Deal Available?
This is a one-day-only promotion, running on January 30, 2026, and is only available during breakfast hours, which vary by location and aren’t always clearly posted.
The offer is valid at participating U.S. locations of Burger King, which is fast-food shorthand for “most places, but not all of them.” The promotion does not apply in Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories, and individual restaurants can opt out.
What Croissan’wich Options Are Included?
The offer applies to four standard Croissan’wich options on Burger King’s breakfast menu. Eligible choices include sausage, egg and cheese; bacon, egg and cheese; ham, egg and cheese; and egg and cheese.
What Is a Croissan’wich — and How Much Does It Usually Cost?

A Croissan’wich is Burger King’s breakfast sandwich with a French twist. Instead of a biscuit or English muffin, the Croissan’wich is built on a flaky croissant, which is meant to feel a bit more indulgent — even if you’re eating it in your car at 8:17 a.m.
Outside of promotions, a Croissan’wich usually costs between $4 and $5, depending on the location.
Free or paid, fast breakfast connoisseurs praise the Croissan’wich as top tier and one of the best offerings among major chains.
“Flaky croissant bun, soft egg, a sausage patty that’s slightly spicy, and butter make one of the tastiest breakfast sandwiches ever,” wrote one user on Reddit. “It’s funny because Wendy’s has this exact same item, but the problem is that it didn’t even taste anywhere near as good as the one at Burger King.”
