If your New Year’s resolution was to cut back on carbs, it might have to wait until spring, because IHOP will be seriously testing your willpower. The family-dining chain brought back its Bottomless Pancakes offer at participating restaurants nationwide on January 5 and will keep it running through March 30.

The indulgent deal comes with a catch, as these things usually do. It’s only available with the purchase of select breakfast combos, including the Breakfast Sampler, Sirloin Tips & Eggs, Split Decision Breakfast, Country Fried Steak & Eggs, T-Bone Steak & Eggs, and Chicken & Pancakes.

It’s a dine-in-only deal, and according to IHOP, “it cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion, including IHOP Rewards Stack Market redemptions.”

To promote the deal, IHOP tapped into the fantasy football trend and teamed up with New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers for a cheeky ad announcing the “24-Hour Challenge powered by Bottomless Pancakes.”

The challenge is inspired by the fantasy football punishment trend in which last-place finishers have to spend 24 hours at IHOP eating nothing but pancakes.

“Fantasy football has turned into a cultural obsession rooted in friendly and intense competition, and we saw an opportunity to create real-time engagement by flipping those last-place blues into a winning experience for everyone,” IHOP president Lawrence Kim said in a statement. “We love bringing people together over our world-famous pancakes, so transforming a viral challenge into a nationwide celebration felt like the perfect fit.”

Pancake fans can pair the fluffy goodness with IHOP’s signature syrup caddies — Old-Fashioned, Blueberry, Strawberry, and Butter Pecan — which returned to tables after being removed during the pandemic.

The offer is valid per person, per order, and includes buttermilk pancakes only, so if you were hoping to load up on chocolate chips, it’s best to set expectations accordingly.
