Krispy Kreme Uses Gas Prices To Offer a Sweet Deal

If the price of gas is leaving a bad taste in your mouth, Krispy Kreme may have a solution for you.

As gas prices hover just below record-breaking levels, the doughnut chain is doing its part to make your pain at the pump a little less, well, painful. Starting this week, Krispy Kreme will offer a dozen Original Glazed Doughnuts for the price of a gallon of gas each Wednesday. The deal will run through May 4. 

Krispy Kreme will determine the price based on the nationwide average price for a gallon of regular gas on Monday of each week. Based on data from AAA, which the chain will use for pricing, that means you can grab your first discounted box of doughnuts for $4.11 this Wednesday. The doughnuts usually run about $12 (this varies by location) so you’re looking at almost $8 off — a sweet deal, indeed.

Doughnut lovers can cash in on the deal in store, at the drive-thru, or through online pickup. Krispy Kreme will share pricing alerts (updated on Tuesdays) on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, or you can check for updates at krispykreme.com/offers/beatthepump.
