Bargain hunters take note: Two of the best discount stores are expanding.
Marshalls and Home Goods, sister stores owned by the same company, are opening new locations across the country soon, bringing even more treasure hunts to shoppers just in time for the holidays. If you’re looking to score deals on everything from luggage to cast iron pots to hosiery, here’s all the deets on the new Marshalls and Home Goods stores.
Why Are Marshalls and Home Goods Opening New Stores?

In short: Customers are hungry for deals and there’s less competition. TJX, the company that owns Marshalls, Home Goods, and TJ Maxx, announced last year that it was going to open 1,300 new locations globally across all of its brands. Those stores are filling holes left in communities where department stores and big mall staples close. So there’s more demand, and everything sold at Marshalls and Home Goods is cheaper, too.
When Are the New Stores Opening?

The new Marshalls and Home Goods locations will all be open by the middle of November, just in time for the start of holiday shopping season. That’s probably not a coincidence!
