If you’re the kind of shopper who can’t resist a bargain bin, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet has more of them coming your way. The discount chain is adding another batch of stores this month, with new openings across the map in October.

Here is everything you need to know.

What’s Going On With Ollie’s?

The Pennsylvania-based retailer confirmed nine new stores are set to open between October 8 and October 23. That’s on top of the dozens of locations already launched this year. CEO Eric van der Valk said the new shops are “off to a very strong start,” according to USA Today. And the company doesn’t appear to be easing up on the gas anytime soon.

How Did Big Lots Factor In?

Part of Ollie’s growth stems from the collapse of the discount retail chain Big Lots. When Big Lots filed for bankruptcy in 2024, Ollie’s stepped in and picked up 40 of those stores at auction. By spring, nearly half of them had already been flipped into Ollie’s locations.

With inflation still squeezing budgets, the timing works in Ollie’s favor — cheap goods in familiar big-box spaces that might’ve otherwise sat empty. More Ollie’s stores mean more places to score closeout deals on everything from snacks to furniture.
