Stores and restaurant chains are dropping like flies this year. From Rite Aid to Red Robin, financial woes are catching up to companies, and they’re closing locations.
The latest company to announce closures is a fast-food salad and wrap chain. Salad and Go is closing dozens of restaurant locations without warning, leaving people without a healthy alternative to the big burger chains. Here’s what’s happening, including the list of shuttering locations.
What Is Salad and Go?

In case you’re not familiar, Salad and Go is a fast-food chain with a goal to bring healthy, affordable options to everyone. The restaurants have drive-thrus and nutritious food, two things that don’t always go together. Headquartered in Phoenix, there were about 145 locations across the Southwestern U.S. at the end of 2024.
Why Is Salad and Go Closing Locations?

Salad and Go was founded in 2013, and it has been expanding rapidly — perhaps too quickly. A former CEO had planned to open one new location each week the previous year, but by November, he had stepped down and taken a position with a different fast-food company. It appears that the new CEO has scaled back on the rapid expansion plans to adopt a more cautious approach, focusing on strengthening the brand in select cities.
“We know the change will ultimately give us the foundation we need to grow stronger and make delicious, nutritious food accessible to all,” said Mike Tattersfield, CEO, in a statement to Nation’s Restaurant News.
When Will the Salad and Go Locations Close?

Unfortunately, the Salad and Go locations on the chopping block have already closed, seemingly without much warning. So if you were hoping to get one last salad at a location on the list, you’re probably out of luck.
