Sam's Club Holidogs
Sam’s Club

Grabbing a hot dog at the Sam’s Club cafe is practically a must every time you shop. It’s stupid cheap and even comes with a soda (with free refills!). But this holiday season, the store is doing something a little different with their dogs, and it’s making our stomachs churn.

What Are Holidogs?

Sam’s Club

Holidogs, the name given to these things, are crazy hot dog monstrosities. “What do you eat between Thanksgiving and Christmas?” is the question posed on their website that no one has ever asked before. But regardless, some Sam’s Club locations are going to be offering hot dogs topped with Christmas and Thanksgiving classics like candy canes and prime rib. Joy.

You Can Actually Buy These?!

“Can I like, actually get this?” is another question on the website, and the answer appears to be yes. It’s not a super late April Fool’s joke, as much as we wish it were.

I’m Crazy. Where Can I Get One?

Cheapism

Thankfully(?), Holidogs are only going to be available pop-up style for one day at three different Sam’s Clubs locations across the country. Head to the Seaport location in New York City on Dec. 5, the Nashville location on Dec. 9, or the Pegasus Plaza location in Dallas on Dec. 12, all starting at 11 a.m.

You’ll be able to build-your-own insane holiday-topped hot dog creation by choosing from six different toppings, plus extras including whipped cream, gravy, parsley, and cranberry sauce.

Holidog 1: Holiday Mashup

Sam’s Club

There are also three different “curated” Holidogs to choose from. The first is the Holiday Mashup, which tops a hot dog with mashed potatoes and decorated Christmas cookies for a new spin on lumpy mashed potatoes.

Holidog 2: Samthing Sweet

Sam’s Club

If you want to go all-out dessert with your Holidog, this one (called both Samthing Sweet and Frankly Both in various places) is your glizzy. It’s topped with pumpkin pie and candy cane pieces which sounds like a cavity waiting to happen.

Holidog 3: Season’s Meatings

Sam’s Club

Okay, this one we can finally get on board with. The Holidog comes with sliced turkey and prime rib on top for an all-meat-all-the-time vibe. Add some gravy and a sprinkle of parsley and you could probably charge $20 for this thing in a fancy hipster restaurant.
