Christmas shopping is a hectic thing, but when you’re doing it at Sam’s Club or Costco, at least you can get something inexpensive to eat at the cafe. Sam’s Club just sweetened that experience with a brand new holiday sundae, and we’re excited. In fact, it might even make us skip Costco’s food court. Here are all the deets on the sweet treat, and why we think it’s got Costco beat in the ice cream department.
What’s the New Holiday Sundae at Sam’s Club?
The new holiday treat at the Sam’s Club cafe is called the Jingle Cookie Crunch Sundae. It’s kind of a silly name, but it’s a serious indulgence.
It’s a large cup of vanilla frozen yogurt layered with chocolate cookie crumbles. There are more chocolate cookie crumbs on top, along with halved Member’s Mark Mini Candy Cookies studded with chocolate chips and mini M&Ms-like candy. They’re the same cookies sold every day in the bakery section of the store, so you know they’re going to be freshly made and delicious when combined with froyo and chocolate cookies.
The Jingle Cookie Crunch Sundae was actually chosen by Sam’s Club fans on social media, making this a fan favorite before it even launched.
How Much Is It?

The best part of this new holiday sundae? It’s only $1.58, and it’s a big full cup. While we really, really love the classic berry sundae from Sam’s Club, we may switch to the Jingle Cookie Crunch while it’s available throughout December since it’s not any more expensive.
Is It Really Better Than Costco’s Sundaes?
Well, just on price alone, the Jingle Cookie Crunch sundae beats Costco’s. If you want standard chocolate syrup or strawberry at Costco, it’ll cost you $2.49. If you want the fancy caramel brownie sundae, it’ll cost you $2.99. We’ll stick with $1.58 at Sam’s, especially since we’re suckers for fun M&Ms cookies, thanks.
Compared to the sundaes at Costco, the new Sam’s holiday sundae has a much higher wow factor, and that’s not something you can discount when you’re trying to keep your kids happy and pick up some last minute groceries for Christmas at the same time. Plus, Sam’s Club rotates its sundaes a few times each year, with bangers like a peach sundae last summer. Gotta love keeping things fresh.

And finally, Sam’s Club still serves frozen yogurt instead of ice cream like Costco. Sure, it may be slightly less indulgent, but we’ll take a few less calories and some probiotics any day.
