If Taco Tuesdays mean taco kits, you probably want to go in a different direction this week. Teasdale Foods, Inc., is recalling some of its Taco Dinner Kits due to potential traces of milk, according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. Here’s what to know about the taco kits recalled from several major grocery chains.

Which Taco Kits Are Recalled?

According to the FDA, Teasdale Foods is voluntarily recalling the following products:

  • Martin’s and Giant Crunchy Taco Dinner Kit, UPC: 68826757516, lot code 25257, Best if used by date: MAR 13 26
  • Casa Mamita Soft Taco Dinner Kit, UPC: 4099100318715, lot code 25259, Best if used by date: MAR 15 26

How Did Milk End Up in a Taco Kit?

After a third-party supplier mistakenly labeled cocoa packets as taco seasoning, some Taco Kits were sold with cocoa packets labeled as taco seasoning. These cocoa packets contain milk, so anyone with a milk allergy could end up consuming it without knowing.
