Whatever happened to asking for simple, practical gifts that were reasonably priced? A nice sweater, a new pair of slippers, books … these days, everyone has gotten a lot higher on the hog when it comes to their Christmas lists. Based on U.S. search trend data analyzed by Betway Insider, the most popular trending Christmas gifts of 2025 are packed with items that routinely cost $100 or more. Even the “practical” picks come with price tags that feel more like splurges.

UGG Boots

UGG boots were all the rage 15 years ago, and they’ve made a comeback so colossal that it should be studied. Sure, Gen Z is leading the charge in demand for these glorified slipper boots, but women of all ages trying to stay trendy are also asking for these boots, which range in price from $150 to $250.

Not only do Oura rings cost $300, but they require a continuous expense by way of the subscription required to track things like sleep and stress levels.

AirPods are one of the most consistently coveted Christmas gifts, and they’re a safe bet to gift to just about anyone on your list. That is, as long as you’re willing to spend between $100 and $250 on them.

Pickleball isn’t losing its luster; instead, more people are asking for all the pricey gear and accessories required to go all-in on the trendy sport.

You can spend as much as $400 on a smartwatch for your loved one. When I was a kid, my mom had a $200 maximum spending limit on my siblings and me, so this one is an eye-opener.

Digital Photo Frame

A digital photo frame displays a birthday scene where a young woman blows out candles on a cake, surrounded by smiling people. A smartphone in front shows the same photo and a gallery app.
Amazon

Take us back to collage frames that were $20 or less, because though these digital frames are efficient, they have a wildly inflated price tag.

Red Light Therapy Device

Amazon

Red light therapy is becoming somewhat of a self-care movement, and these devices can reach into the hundreds, depending on which one you go with.

Instant Camera

Amazon

Nostalgia is something people will pay a lot of money for, and instant cameras are a prime example of that.
