As July Fourth nears, many retailers are rolling out big sales to entice shoppers. For its part, Sam’s Club is offering huge savings on items such as grills, coolers, and gazebos. The retailer is doing more than offering products at discounted prices, though.

From June 17 until June 26, the wholesale club is offering an $8 membership deal for new individual club members — that’s a fourth of the typical price — see what they did there?

The (relatively small) catch: You can’t get the deal online. You’ll need to head to the membership desk of any Sam’s Club location to snag this hot deal.

Now might be an especially good time to take advantage of the deal as inflation continues ballooning with no end in sight. Plus, Sam’s Club rival Costco already charges a higher price, $60, for its comparable base-level membership.

Meet the Writer

Rachel is a Michigan-based writer who has dabbled in a variety of subject matter throughout her career. As a mom of multiple young children, she tries to maintain a sustainable lifestyle for her family. She grows vegetables in her garden, gets her meat in bulk from local farmers, and cans fruits and vegetables with friends. Her kids have plenty of hand-me-downs in their closets, but her husband jokes that before long, they might need to invest in a new driveway thanks to the frequent visits from delivery trucks dropping off online purchases (she can’t pass up a good deal, after all).
