At some point, pumpkin spice stopped being a seasonal flavor and became a challenge. Every fall, brands seemingly look around their product lines and ask the same question: “But could we make it pumpkin spice?” And apparently, the answer is almost always yes.
We’re not talking about pumpkin spice lattes, muffins, or even cereal. Those make sense. We’re talking about products that make you wonder whether our collective obsession with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves has finally gone too far. Pumpkin spice has made its way into everything from savory foods and condiments to personal-care products and household essentials.
Some of these creations have devoted fans. Others feel like they were invented purely because nobody in the meeting was brave enough to say no. Here are 16 pumpkin spice products that have absolutely no business existing.
Pumpkin Spice Spam
This sounds like something someone would Photoshop as a joke — and, funny enough, that’s basically how it started. Spam first joked about a pumpkin spice version on Facebook in 2017 before Hormel actually turned it into a real limited-edition product two years later. The canned pork and ham was flavored with cinnamon, clove, allspice, and nutmeg and released online in September 2019. Apparently America was ready for autumn-flavored canned meat: It sold out in less than seven hours.
Kraft Pumpkin Spice Mac & Cheese
Mac and cheese already has a pretty good thing going with, you know, cheese. But in 2020, Kraft decided the classic comfort food also needed cinnamon, allspice, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves. Pumpkin Spice Kraft Mac & Cheese debuted as a limited giveaway in Canada before Kraft offered a small number of boxes to U.S. fans through a social promotion. Even Kraft seemed aware of what it had done, describing the concoction with the wonderfully self-aware sentiment: You probably never wondered what this would taste like, but they made it anyway.
Cup Noodles Pumpkin Spice
Nothing says cozy fall afternoon quite like a steaming cup of pumpkin spice ramen — at least according to Nissin. In 2021, Cup Noodles celebrated its 50th anniversary by releasing what the company called its “most unexpected flavor” yet. The limited-edition noodles combined pumpkin seasoning with a sweet and savory sauce and were even marketed as something adventurous eaters could top with whipped cream. They were sold exclusively at Walmart, presumably because putting pumpkin spice in instant noodles wasn’t enough chaos on its own.
Pumpkin Spice Pringles
Before pumpkin spice invaded seemingly every grocery aisle, Pringles was already putting it on potato crisps. Kellogg’s released limited-edition Pumpkin Pie Spice Pringles in 2012 alongside equally questionable Cinnamon & Sugar and White Chocolate Peppermint varieties. The idea was simple: Take a salty potato crisp and coat it in the flavors you’d normally associate with pie. Pumpkin spice history may have been better off if everyone had stopped here.
Pumpkin Spice Hummus
Chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic … cinnamon? Cedar’s decided hummus needed an autumn makeover with its limited-edition pumpkin spice version, combining its traditional dip with pumpkin and warming spices. The idea has somehow survived: The brand has subsequently brought back an Organic Pumpkin Hommus made with pumpkin, tahini, and cinnamon. Dessert hummus has become much more common since the original appeared, but that doesn’t make the phrase “pumpkin spice hummus” any less jarring.

Pumpkin Spice Salsa
Just in case hummus wasn’t enough, pumpkin spice has also come for the chips-and-salsa aisle. Shelley’s Salsa makes an actual Pumpkin Spice Salsa, and the product is still listed by the company alongside decidedly more conventional varieties like Original, Hot, and Black Bean & Corn. Flavor & Fire also sells the concoction online. Your pumpkin spice latte finally has a dipping sauce, whether anyone asked for one or not.
Hatfield Pumpkin Spice Bacon
Bacon works with maple, so maybe this isn’t completely unhinged. Still, Hatfield’s Pumpkin Spice Bacon takes things several steps further by coating thick-cut bacon in sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice. The seasonal bacon is an actual food-service product from Clemens Food Group, which suggests eating it on its own or incorporating it into fall recipes. Pumpkin spice pork has now happened in both canned and bacon form, which feels like more than enough.
Greenies Pumpkin Spice Dog Treats
Why should humans have all the seasonal marketing fun? Greenies makes Pumpkin Spice Flavor Dental Treats so dogs can apparently participate in PSL season, too. The flavor is part of the brand’s lineup of seasonal dental chews alongside options including ScaryBerry and Gingerbread. At least your dog won’t have to watch enviously while you drink your latte anymore.

Special Kitty Pumpkin Spice Cat Litter
Dogs get pumpkin spice treats. Cats get pumpkin spice … litter. Walmart’s Special Kitty brand has sold pumpkin spice-scented clumping cat litter, presumably for anyone who has ever cleaned a litter box and thought, “This experience could use more cinnamon and nutmeg.” It may technically make the litter box smell more festive, but there are some things we simply don’t need to associate with pumpkin pie.
Hefty Cinnamon Pumpkin Spice Trash Bags
Yes, even your garbage can can celebrate fall. Hefty introduced Cinnamon Pumpkin Spice Ultra Strong trash bags in 2022, combining its odor-control technology with a seasonal scent. The idea was ridiculous enough to work: The bags became so popular that a later release reportedly sold out in just 90 seconds, and Hefty has continued bringing them back. Nothing complements yesterday’s leftovers quite like the aroma of a pumpkin spice latte.
Pumpkin Spice Toilet Paper
There are certain parts of life where pumpkin spice probably doesn’t need to follow us. The bathroom is one of them. Nevertheless, pumpkin spice toilet paper exists, with novelty retailers selling rolls specifically marketed around the seasonal scent. At this point, we’re getting dangerously close to pumpkin spice being less of a flavor and more of a lifestyle requirement.
DUDE Wipes DUMPkin Spice Wipes
Pumpkin spice toilet paper apparently wasn’t enough. DUDE Wipes went one step further with limited-edition DUMPkin Spice flushable wipes, infused with clove, nutmeg, and other fall scents. The product started as a joke before the reaction convinced DUDE Wipes to actually manufacture it.
Native Pumpkin Spice Latte Deodorant
If drinking a PSL isn’t immersive enough, you can apparently smell like one, too. Native has sold Pumpkin Spice Latte deodorant featuring notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. The seasonal scent proved popular enough that Native brought it back and expanded the fragrance into body wash and bar soap. There’s nothing inherently wrong with smelling like cinnamon and cloves, of course. Calling your armpits “Pumpkin Spice Latte,” however, takes some getting used to.
Dawn Pumpkin Spice Powerwash
Your plates can now smell ready for sweater weather. Dawn makes a Pumpkin Spice version of its Powerwash dish spray, and it’s still listed among the brand’s products. The cleaner promises the same grease-fighting powers as regular Powerwash, only now accompanied by a fragrance that might make washing last night’s lasagna pan smell confusingly like dessert. Walmart shoppers have apparently embraced it, too, with thousands of ratings for the seasonal soap.
Fabuloso Pumpkin Spice Season Cleaner
Pumpkin spice officially reached the mop bucket in 2026. Fabuloso’s limited-edition Pumpkin Spice Season Multi-Purpose Cleaner features a “Pumpkin Cinnamon” fragrance with cinnamon, clove, vanilla, and fruity notes. Walmart lists the bright orange cleaner for use on everything from floors and sinks to toilets, showers, counters, and furniture. So if you’ve ever dreamed of making your entire bathroom smell vaguely like a fall bakery, this is apparently your year.
Pumpkin Spice Chewing Gum
A latte disappears in 20 minutes. Pumpkin spice chewing gum lets you keep the experience going considerably longer. Yes, pumpkin spice-flavored organic gum has actually been sold, because apparently cinnamon gum wasn’t autumnal enough on its own. By the time pumpkin spice has reached something you’re supposed to chew repeatedly without swallowing, it may be fair to say we’ve exhausted the possibilities.
