Aldi is known for its premise as a discount grocery store, but any regular Aldi shopper knows there are still some things that aren’t necessarily the best deal. On the other hand, the store has a bunch of products that are such a good deal, they’ve reached go-to status for frugal shoppers.
1. Chicken Breast
If chicken breasts are part of your regular grocery get, you probably experience some pricing whiplash — unless you’re an Aldi shopper. While other grocery stores have considerable fluctuations in the pricing of their chicken breasts, Aldi keeps things more consistent, right around $2.50 a pound for family packs of boneless skinless chicken breasts.
2. Heavy Whipping Cream
Heavy whipping cream is one of the most random high points of shopping at Aldi. In recent years, this stuff is about $6 at grocery giants, but at Aldi, it’s often half the price.
3. Eggs
Aldi prides itself on having cheap egg prices, and shoppers attest to it by getting their eggs there.
4. Milk
Milk is another product that Aldi touts as having the lowest prices on. Grabbing a gallon at Aldi is typically more affordable than purchasing it from another grocery store.
5. Paper Plates
We typically stick to Costco when it comes to purchasing paper plates, but in a pinch, we (and the rest of our frugal friends) can count on Aldi to have affordable prices on paper plates.

Frugal Aldi fanatics love the store’s chip selection. They have solid flavors (especially the ones in their seasonal rotations) and consistently low prices.
7. Produce
Produce is usually more affordable at Aldi than at other grocery giants. From strawberries and apples to carrots and celery, Aldi shoppers stock up on their fruits and veggies.
8. Shredded Cheese
Is there a more affordable place to purchase shredded cheese than Aldi? It’s one of the store’s highlights.

9. Feta Cheese
We are professional frugal shoppers, and we feel entirely confident saying that feta cheese is Aldi’s best kept secret. The place has the cheapest feta without compromising quality.
10. Buns
Aldi’s got buns, hun. And cheapskates everywhere have them on their Aldi list if a cookout is in the meal plan.
