It can be difficult to score a decent bottle of wine under $20, but not at Aldi supermarkets. In fact, my most recent visit to the grocery chain showed me that my local branch doesn’t even have any that exceed that price. If you’re looking to stock up for cheap, Aldi is the place. Here are 13 Aldi wine options under $20.

Anything barrel-aged for this price is nice, but this wine is a hit with many chardonnay fans. One drinker calls it, the “perfect balance of fruity and oaky/buttery. Great value for only $10. Def one of my new fave chards!”

Dancing Flame Gran Reserva Villarica Sauvignon Blanc

Shellfish and goat cheese are nice counterparts for this sauvignon blanc, which sits on the dryer, more acidic side of the white wine spectrum.

At $9, this baby seems like a solid price to start out with — then you realize it’s a full liter and a half. Score.

Bear Bros Rosé

Strawberry and raspberry notes are what you’re getting here, so if you like a rosé on the sweeter side, this one is for you.

Scarlet Path Lodi Zinfandel

“Not bad for only 8 bucks,” says one customer. “Very vibrant smell of raspberry, blackberry, and hint of leather. Fairly acidic with flavors of sour cherry and pepper on the finish.” You can pair this California red with beef, lamb, or chicken.

$8 is a nice price for a refreshing New Zealand white like this, which prompted one reviewer to use the phrase “Wowza!” Classic wine jargon.

Bold and fruity, one Vivino reviewer called this wine “drinkable and enjoyable in the same way a Big Mac is edible and enjoyable,” adding, “Consequently, a Big Mac would pair very well.” I’m gonna have to get to that pairing, quick.

There are not enough horse-themed wines, you say? Look no further than Stormchaser’s Wild Ride. One drinker said of the bold, acidic wine, “Full bodied, strong berries, full flavored. Good with strong flavors, salt, seasonings. Luxiourous to sip, not a gulp wine, more elevated/mature wine.”
