Gary, Indiana
Long-haul truckers have been pulling off the I-80 for years to stop by this humble yellow trailer and fill their tummies with authentic, hearty Serbian fare like their juicy Pljeskavica (they call it Gourmet Burger on the menu) that oozes spiced beef juices and mozzarella cheese served with a side of creamy kajmak (homemade cream cheese) to sustain them for the day. Opened by Serbian chef Momcilo Bogdanovic in 2014, everything here is made from scratch, so don’t expect to get your meal in anything under 15 minutes.
