Cheapism

Everyone loves to snack, and whether you’re more of a sweets person or a salt craver, Costco has you covered. The aisles and aisles of snacks can seem a little daunting (especially in bulk sizes if you’ve never tried the product), so we narrowed things down for you.

These are the best salty snacks that Costco has to offer, and you should put them in your cart immediately.

Prices and availability are subject to change.

Kettle Krinkle Cut Pink Salt

Kettle krinkle cut pink salt costco
Lacey Muszynski / Cheapism

$5.99 for 32 ounces

We love Kettle brand potato chips for their substantial crunch. These are crinkle cut, so they’re perfect for heavy dips or anything else you can throw at them.

Dot’s Pretzels Honey Mustard

Lacey Muszynski / Cheapism

$9.99 for 35 ounces

Dot’s pretzels are not cheap, but they are really good. That’s why it’s such a joy that Costco carries them in huge bags in both honey mustard and original flavor.

Pirate’s Booty Cheddar Blast Popcorn

Lacey Muszynski / Cheapism

$6.99 for 18 ounces

It is so easy to go through an entire bag of Pirate’s Booty popcorn in one sitting, which makes these bulk size bags good or bad, depending on how you look at it! Can’t go wrong with the cheddar flavor, though.

Doritos

Doritos nacho costco
Lacey Muszynski / Cheapism

$5.99 for 30 ounces

Doritos are always a hit, especially in classic Nacho Cheese flavor. But for Cool Ranch fans, sorry, Costco doesn’t carry them in big bags right now.

From the Ground Up Veggie Straws

Veggie straws costco
Lacey Muszynski / Cheapism

$5.99 for 25 ounces

For a salty snack that’s a little less fat than potato chips, Veggie Straws are a good bet. They’re a fun hollow shape, and have a really nice light and airy crunch.

Kirkland Tortilla Strips

Kirkland tortilla strips costco
Lacey Muszynski / Cheapism

$5.79 for 48 ounces

Plain tortilla chips may seem like a boring snack, but it’s what you dip them in that counts. These Kirkland ones are made by Mission, and are way cheaper in this bulk bag than at the grocery store. Plus, the long, thin shape gets into salsa jars easily.

Mateo’s Salsa

Lacey Muszynski / Cheapism

$6.89 for 32 ounces

And speaking of chips and salsa, Mateo’s is our favorite inexpensive store-bought salsa brand. It tastes fresh and light, has a great consistency, and you can’t beat the price for this quart size jar.

Kirkland Peanut Butter Pretzels

Kirkland peanut butter pretzels
Lacey Muszynski / Cheapism

$9.99 for 55 ounces

These peanut butter-filled pretzel nuggets are so good. They’re pretty salty, but if you want them sweeter, you can dip them in a little bit of jam or honey as a treat.

SunChips Southwestern Queso

Sunchips southwestern queso costco

Schwartz Brothers Bakery Organic Everything Bagel Chips

Schwartz Brother bakery everything bagel chips costco
Lacey Muszynski / Cheapism

$7.99 for 15 ounces

These bagel chips are amazingly good. Keep a container in your house to eat with cheese, just for snacking, or to break up and use as salad croutons. Costco switches often between everything bagel and garlic herb varieties, but they’re both great.

Lacey Muszynski / Cheapism

$14.79 for 45 bags

If you have bag lunches to pack, Cheez-Its are a life saver. Everyone likes them, they’re less terrible for you than chips, and you get a whopping 45 servings for the price.

Happy Days Japanese Party Mix

Happy Days Japanese party mix costco
Lacey Muszynski / Cheapism

$12.99 for 18 ounces

This is a relatively new Costco product, and it’s kind of like Japanese Chex Mix. There’s crunchy mochi bites, pretzels, cereals, and almonds, all coated in a sweet and savory mix of seasonings, including seaweed strips.

Wonderful Pistachios Chili Roasted

Wonderful Pistachios chili roasted costco
Lacey Muszynski / Cheapism

$14.99 for 22 ounces

Pistachios are delicious, but they are not cheap, which is why you should always buy them at Costco. These chili-seasoned nuts are already shelled, too, so there’s no fuss involved.

Kirkland Steak Strips

Kirkland Steak Strips costco
Lacey Muszynski / Cheapism

$10.99 for 12 ounces

Beef jerky is another expensive product that’s great to buy at Costco. These thick-cut steak strips are softer than some jerkies, so they’re not as hard on your jaw.

Goldfish Cheddar

Lacey Muszynski / Cheapism

$12.69 for 66 ounces

Goldfish crackers are so fun, whether you eat them by the handful, float them in tomato soup, or give them to your kids. This big box has three bags inside so they stay fresher longer.
