Chick-fil-A has created a sandwich so good that early tasters are calling it “absolute perfection,” but all we can do is sit on the sidelines and watch in envy.
The new Sweet Chili Lime Crunch fried chicken sandwich is only a test item in a small region, so most people will be joining us in jealousy. Rave reviews are already pouring in from those lucky enough to try it, though, so here’s hoping it’s popular enough to go national sometime soon.
What’s the Chick-fil-A Sweet Chili Lime Crunch Sandwich?
Like all fast-food restaurants, Chick-fil-A sometimes comes out with limited-time menu items to get people in the door and shake up the menu. Think: McRib, Thin Mint Frostys, and Chipotle’s carne asada. Chick-fil-A doesn’t do it as much as other chains, though, so when there is something new, people take notice.
This time, the item being tested sounds a little more unique than usual. The Sweet Chili Lime Crunch sandwich is made with “Ginger Lime Cool Crunch,” which is a weird say of saying cabbage and kale slaw with creamy ginger lime dressing. It’s topped with sweet chili sauce, a Thai-inspired condiment that often comes as dipping sauce at Thai restaurants. You can choose to have those toppings on an original, spicy, or grilled Chick-fil-A sandwich.
People who have already tried the new sandwich are mostly raving, and they’re making us hungry. “I love trying the new sandwiches they have been debuting over the last few years,” said a Redditor who started a thread about the sandwich. “But this thing right here? This is the absolute best sandwich I have ever had from Chick-fil-a… I literally went Monday AND Tuesday of this week to get it. It’s that good.”
“I had one yesterday with the regular filet,” another Redditor chimed in. “That ginger lime crunch is the perfect compliment to the sweet chili sauce. I think I’ll try it with the spicy filet next time.”
“Dang that sounds awesome. Thanks for giving us envy,” replied someone else, and we’re feeling that.
How Can I Get a Sweet Chili Lime Crunch Sandwich?
If you want to get your hands on that sandwich during its test run, you’re going to have to be in North Carolina. According to Chick-fil-A, it’s being tested at participating locations in Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem. They will be available through March 2, 2026 — at least as long as they don’t run out. So if you are in the area, you’ve got a few weeks to try one.
If you do get your hands on it, you’ll be paying $6.25 for the sandwich with an original chicken filet, $6.55 for a spicy chicken filet, or $7.19 for a grilled chicken filet. Meals are between $10 and $11. For that price, it better be good. You can also get the Ginger Lime Cool Crunch slaw as a side for $2.39, which interestingly comes with a packet of roasted almonds to sprinkle on top.
“I’m tempted to drive from Raleigh to Mebane to get one,” confessed one Redditor. If we didn’t live halfway across the country, we might consider taking a little road trip, too.
“I’m sure it’s great,” replied another person, “but the rest of us will never know because of course it’s only at 2 locations out of 3,500.” Here’s hoping that’s only true for a little while.
