Costco’s pre-made meals are a fantastic time saver, and a very popular section of the store. But there are two salad meal kits that were recently recalled, according to a notice published on Costco’s website. It’s time to check your fridge for these Kirkland Signature meals.

Which Salads Were Recalled?

There are two ready-made deli salad items that are part of this recall. They are:

  • Kirkland Signature Caesar Salad
    Costco item number 19927
  • Kirkland Signature Chicken Sandwich with Caesar Salad
    Costco item number 11444

Both the recalled Costco Caesar salad meals were sold in the deli section near the rotisserie chickens and other premade meals. They were not bagged salad kits.

The recalled Caesar salads all had sell by dates between 10/17/25 and 11/9/25.

What’s Wrong With the Costco Salads?

The problem isn’t with the salad exactly, but with the packet of dressing that comes with it. The containers of Caesar dressing, made by Ventura Foods, may contain “plastic foreign material.”

The recalled salads are no longer being sold at Costco, and based on the sell by dates, the lettuce in any of these recalled kits is well past its prime. But because the Caesar dressing came in sealed containers, some customers may still have the recalled dressing that’s potentially contaminated with small pieces of plastic in their refrigerator.

What Should I Do if I Have the Recalled Salad?

Costco is advising anyone who still has the recalled Caesar salad or chicken sandwich with Caesar salad meals to not eat it. You can return the product to any Costco and receive a full refund. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact the company through Costco’s customer service website.
