So when we came across a recent viral TikTok video from well-known content creator Jordan the Stallion that pokes back at the company, you better believe that we were invested in the gossipy tale.
The content creator, who’s real name is Jordan Howlett, has already cultivated a reputation for divulging secret corporate recipes. Here’s the story behind his latest Costco reveal: Following a membership card dispute with a Costco cashier, Howlett shared some of Costco’s recipes, including ones for Costco’s mac and cheese and churros. Costco recently replaced its popular churros with a massive double chocolate chunk cookie, inspiring some serious backlash. It was only a matter of time before Howlett got the deets on the latest food court addition.

Turns out, the same particularly spicy cashier who gave Howlett a hard time over his membership card shared Costco’s cookie recipe with the TikTok creator, and we’re all benefitting. Here’s the “top secret” recipe, according to Howlett and the Costco employee:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. In a bowl, mix:
- 1 cup salted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup regular sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup corn syrup
- 1 tablespoon of molasses
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 cups of flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chunks
3. Form balls of delicious cookie dough, place them on a sheet, and bake your cookies for 11 minutes.
4. Enjoy your copycat Costco chocolate chip cookies.
