Friday the 13th has a PR problem, and Krispy Kreme has volunteered to fix it. The bad luck day usually blamed for unfortunate haircuts, missed flights, and spilled coffee might actually turn out to be the day you score free doughnuts.
To turn it into a good luck kind of day, the chain is giving away coupons for a free dozen Original Glazed.

What Is Krispy Kreme Offering?
On Feb. 13, Krispy Kreme will randomly hand out 13,000 coupons for a free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts at stores across the country. There’s no sign-up and no special code. You walk in, make a purchase, and some customers will receive a coupon.
“Friday the 13th gets a bad rap, but bad luck doesn’t stand a chance at Krispy Kreme,” the company said in a press release.
Each coupon can be redeemed for one free Original Glazed dozen with any purchase during a 13-day window beginning Sunday, Feb. 15. In other words, Feb. 13 is when you find out if you won; Feb. 15 is when you can start collecting. They really committed to the whole 13 thing.
It also happens to be right before Valentine’s Day, which we are sure is totally accidental. Krispy Kreme says it’s meant to “sweeten Valentine’s Weekend and bring a side of good luck.”

What’s in Krispy Kreme’s 2026 Valentine’s Lineup?
Even if you aren’t the lucky recipient of free dozen doughnuts, you can still enjoy the store’s Valentine’s Day treat. This year’s Valentine’s lineup includes four themed doughnuts:
- I Love You a Choco-Lot Doughnut: A heart-shaped doughnut filled with chocolate-flavored Kreme, dipped in red icing and topped with a chocolate ribbon and bow.
- Teddy Bear Cookies & Kreme Doughnut: A heart-shaped doughnut filled with Cookies & Kreme, dipped in chocolate icing and topped with a white chocolate bear face.
- You’re Berry Sweet Doughnut: A heart-shaped doughnut filled with Kreme, dipped in strawberry-flavored icing and topped with red drizzle and an XOXO sugar piece.
- Sprinkled with Love Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut frosted with buttercream and decorated with heart-shaped sprinkles.
